Found in small, loose, schools, often mixed with other small fish, over coral and rubble bottoms, of channels and reef slopes, in lagoons and seaward reefs, rich in coral growth.
They feed on algae.

Widespread Indo-West Pacific

Angelfish are usually brightly coloured with highly compressed bodies.
