Found in small loose schools often mixed with other small fish over coral and rubble bottoms of channels and reef slopes in lagoons and seaward reefs rich in coral growth.
They feed on algae.

Widespread Indo-West Pacific

Angelfish are usually brightly coloured with highly compressed bodies.
