Description

Also known as Pargo, Pargo Colorado, Pargo Lisa, Snapper Mullet.

Found singly, or in large schools, over hard bottoms of inshore reefs.
They feed on fish and invertebrates.
Juveniles found in shallow estuaries over shorelines and in tide-pools.
Length - 100cm
Depth - 0-60m
Widespread Eastern Pacific

Most Snappers live in moderate depths, however there are a few that live much deeper. Juveniles found on inshore reefs.
They are nocturnal predators that mainly feed on fish, but will eat crustaceans, gastropods and cephalopods.
