Found singly or in schools pursuing schools of fish over inshore and shelf waters. These fish move from shore to off-shore in response to temperature changes in the water.
They feed on small fish and swimming crustaceans.
Juveniles found in estuaries and coastal lagoons.
Length - 230cm
Depth - 15-300m
Widespread Eastern Atlantic, Black Sea, Mediterranean, Red Sea
