Description

Also known as Bananafish, Bigtail Fusilier, Black-tipped Fusilier, Goldband Fusilier, Twinstripe Fusilier, Yellow-banded Fusilier.

Found in schools, feeding in the water column, over clear water coral reefs, either close to oceanic islands or outer reefs far from land masses. Varies in colour, from blue to red with night and day.
They feed on zooplankton.
Length - 35cm
Depth - 1-30m
Widespread Indo-Pacific

Fusiliers are close relatives of snappers, but are much smaller and more slender.
Schools of fusiliers often have other species mixed in.
