Found in pairs, family groups, and large schools, hovering just above the bottom, close to their burrows, over coral, rock, and sandy, shallow coastal slopes, deep drop-offs, and slopes, of outer reef lagoons.
They feed on zooplankton.

Depth - 6-50m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific

These cute little fish usually in pairs hovering directly above the ocean floor, facing the current to catch their food.
