Also known as African Cichlid, Livingstonii, Livingston's Hap, Malawi Cichlid, Mbuna.

Found singly, and very territorial, over most habitats, but common over soft bottoms, with vegetated areas, in sheltered bays.
They feed on fish.

Depth - 0-114m
Africa - Lake Malawi, Lake Malombe, Shire River

A freshwater fish often seen in the aquarium trade.
