Description

Also known as Lemon Angelfish, Lemonpeel, Lemonpeel Angel, Lemonpeel Dwarf Angelfish, Lemonpeel Pygmy Angelfish, Yellow Angelfish.

Found singly, or in pairs, over lower surge zones, of shallow lagoons, and exposed seaward reefs, rich in coral growth.
They feed on algae.
Length - 14cm
Depth - 3-50m
Widespread Western Central Pacific

The Lemonpeel Angelfish is mimicked by the Juvenile Mimic Surgeonfish - Acanthurus pyroferus.

Angelfish are usually brightly coloured with highly compressed bodies.
