Description

Also known as Japanese Angelfish, Japanese Pygmy Dwarf Angelfish.

Found in pairs over coral and rocky reefs rich in algae and coral growth.
They feed on algae, benthic invertebrates and sponges.
Length - 15cm
Depth - 12-60m
Pacific Ocean - Northwest Hawaii, Japan

Angelfish are usually brightly coloured with highly compressed bodies.
