Also known as Moonfish, Oyster Cracker, Oyster Eater, Permit.

Found singly or in small schools, over shallow waters of coastal reefs.
They feed on hard shell invertebrates and sand molluscs.
Length - 90cm
Depth - 1-10m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific

Jacks are fast swimming fish that can roam over great distances. The larger fish hunt other fish and the smaller fish eat zooplankton. In turn they are hunted by large Tuna and Dolphins. Ref: https://www.fishbase.se/summary/1964
