Description

Also known as Erdmann Blenny, Fishgod Blenny, Labrisomid Blenny, Scaly Blenny.

Found singly, resting on Pectoral and Dorsal Fins, blending in with the background, amongst algae, coral debris, and depressions in rocks, over very shallow, coral and rocky reefs.
They feed on small benthic invertebrates.
Length - 3.8cm
Depth - 0-6m
Widespread Western Atlantic, Caribbean

Males and females differ in colour as well as the males have a more elongated fore-Dorsal Fin.

Scaly Blennies are found in various habitats perched on their fins and usually blending in with their surroundings.
Males and females often have different colouring and features.
