Found singly on mud and sand bottoms of coral reefs.
They feed on plankton.
Medium sized prawn, red with large blue/green eyes with a prominent hump.
Length - 7cm
Depth - 1-200m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific

These prawns are usually nocturnal, hiding in sand during the day.
