Also known as Blackbelly Triplefin, Greentail Triplefin, Halfback Threefin, Halfblack Threefin, Threefin, Threefin Blenny.

Found singly, or in pairs, over coral and rocks, of reef flats, surf swept reef margins, and in tide-pools.
They feed on benthic invertebrates.

Widespread Western Pacific
