Description

Also known as Coral Shrimpfish, Grooved Shrimpfish, Guttersnipe Fish, Razorfish, Rigid Shrimpfish, Serrated Razorfish.

Found head down in large schools, in the spines of sea urchins or in the arms of black corals, branching corals, and sea whips, over mud and sand bottoms, along beach edges of quiet bays and shallow water inlets, blending in with their surroundings.
They feed on benthic invertebrates and zooplankton.
