Found singly or in pairs, over coastal reef slopes rich in coral growth.
They feed on algae, corals, seagrass, sponges and tunicates.
Juveniles found over grassy areas and shallow patch reefs where they act as cleaner fish.

Angelfish are usually brightly coloured with highly compressed bodies.
