Description

Also known as Gold-speckled Shrimpgoby, Pop-eyed Shrimpgoby, Prawngoby, Shrimpgoby, Spotfin Shrimpgoby.

Found singly or in pairs, sharing their burrows with Alpheid shrimps, over rubble and sandy bottoms, of clear, coastal, inner reef flats and slopes.
They feed on small benthic invertebrates.

Widespread Eastern Indian Ocean, Western Pacific

Shrimp Gobies live a symbiotic relationship with snapping shrimps.
