Description

Also known as Blue Bridle Cardinalfish, Diamond Cardinal, Goldbelly Cardinalfish, Golden Cardinalfish, Nurseryfish, Plain Cardinal, Plain Cardinalfish, Short-tooth Cardinal, Short-toothed Cardinalfish.

Found in pairs or small schools, over rocky cliffs and shallow reef flats, of sheltered, coastal and outer reefs.
They feed in invertebrates and zooplankton.

Widespread Indo-West Pacific
