Description

Also known as Blue Bridle Cardinalfish, Diamond Cardinal, Golden Cardinalfish, Plain Cardinal, Plain Cardinalfish, Short-tooth Cardinal, Short-tooth Cardinalfish, Short-toothed Cardinalfish.

Found in pairs or small schools over rocky cliffs and shallow reef flats of sheltered coastal and outer reefs.
They feed in invertebrates and zooplankton.

Widespread Indo-West Pacific
