Description

Also known as Blue Jacket Hawkfish, Clown Hawkfish, Hieroglyphic Hawkfish.

Found singly, perched very still and blending in with their surrounds, on coral and rock ledges, over shallow waters of coral and rocky reefs.
They feed on crustaceans and small fish.
Length - 60cm
Depth - 5-23m
Widespread Eastern Central Pacific

This is the largest of Hawkfish!
