Found singly or in pairs sheltering in staghorn corals over lagoons and seaward reefs rich in coral growth.
They feed on algae from bases of dead corals.
Length - 24cm
Depth - 1-30m
Widespread Western Pacific

Rabbitfish are usually found in algae rich reefs.
