Description
Also known as Arctic Blenny, Blenny Vivipare, Eelpout Blenny, European Eelpout, Viviparous Blenny, Viviparous Eelpout.
Found amongst algae, under stones, and in tide-pools, of coastal waters, being air breathers they can remain in and out of water for long periods of time.
They feed on crustaceans, fish eggs, fish fry, insects and molluscs.

Zoarcidae are mainly bottom-dwelling fish some to great depths and are eel like in appearance.
