Description

Also known as American Mudminnow.

Found in schools, over debris, mud and sand bottoms, of quiet channels, streams, swamps, and wetlands, rich in dense vegetation.
They feed on young crustaceans, insect larvae, molluscs, and worms.

Widespread North America - introduced to Western Europe
