Description
Also known as Devilfish, Hulafish, Longfin, Trachinops Hulafish.
Found in large schools, often high above the reef feeding in the water column, over inshore reefs.
They feed on zooplankton.
Length - 10cm
Depth - 0-20m
Widespread Southwest Pacific
The Hulafish is named for its exaggerated swimming movements.
The female deposits its eggs in small holes the male then guards their eggs by wrapping his body around the hole.
