Description
Also known as Brown Dottyback, Brown Pygmy Grouper, Golden Dottyback, Orchid Dottyback, Queensland Dottyback, Yellow Dottyback, Yellow Pseudochromis.
Found singly in the arms of branching corals, crevices, holes and under ledges, over lagoons and seaward reefs.
They feed on fish and small invertebrates.

Widespread Indo-Pacific
Dottybacks are usually small and often brightly coloured.
They live inside the reefs structure, often at the back of caves and are very territorial and aggressive.
