Found singly, resting on Pectoral and Dorsal Fins, blending in with the background, or in holes and crevices, over rock and rubble shores, rich with algal mats and seagrass beds.
They feed on crustaceans.
Length - 7.5cm
Depth - 0-15m
Widespread Western Atlantic, Caribbean

Scaly Blennies are found in various habitats perched on their fins and usually blending in with their surroundings.
Males and females often have different colouring and features.
