Also known as Bleeding Eye Barb, Miss Kerala, Redline Torpedo Barb, Red-lined Torpedo Barb, Red-lined Torpedofish, Roseline Denison Torpedo Barb, Roseline Shark.

Found in schools, over rocky pools with thick vegetation, within fast flowing hill streams. They are fast swimmers and jump out of the water to avoid predators.
They feed on plants and zooplankton.
