Description

Also known as Bartail Fusilier, Blue-dash Fusilier, Bluestreak Fusilier, Neon Fusilier.

Found in large schools, over coral reefs. Varies in colour from blue to red with night and day.
They feed on zooplankton.
Juveniles found in large schools, over shallow lagoons and reef flats.
Length -25cm
Depth - 1-60m
Widespread Indo-Pacific

Fusiliers are close relatives of snappers, but are much smaller and more slender.
Schools of fusiliers often have other species mixed in.
