Found singly, and shy, along gutters of rocky areas, over rocky reefs, in protected bays and lagoons.
Juvenile beautiful colors, becoming drab with age!
They feed on algae and benthic invertebrates.
Length - 10cm
Depth - 1-12m
Widespread Pacific Ocean

Damselfish are egg layers.
