Also known as Bright Eagle Eyes, Colonial Anemone, Eagle-eye Zoanthid, Green Sea Mat, Hornet, Moonlight Zoanthid, Sea Mat.

Found in colonies, over sub-tidal areas, often covering vast areas where there is lots of sunlight, over rocky bottoms of coral and rocky reefs.
They feed on detritus.

Most often zoanthids look like small sea anemones.
This encrusting species has a sandy leathery feel unlike its soft-bodied relatives.
