Found singly, or in schools, over soft bottoms, of coral and rocky reefs.
They feed on insects, crustaceans, and small fish.
Juveniles found in estuaries.
Length - 44cm
Depth - 10-60m
Widespread Eastern Pacific

The bodies of Pufferfish are covered in a toxic mucus, if the skin or flesh is consumed it can be fatal to humans.
