Description
Also known as Atlantic Garden Eel.
Found in large colonies, over sandy bottoms, half buried in the sand, waving their heads around, pointing into the current feeding, quickly disappearing when alarmed.
They feed on detritus and zooplankton.
Length - 50cm
Depth - 10-60m
Widespread Eastern Atlantic, Western Atlantic, Caribbean
Garden Eels rise up in the sand halfway their body length waving in the sand feeding on plankton.
