Description

Also known as Annularis Angelfish, Blue King Angelfish, Blue Ring Angelfish, Ringed Angelfish.

Found singly, or in pairs, in and around bays, caves, harbours, under jetties, and around wrecks, over coastal, coral, and rocky reefs.
They feed on sponges and tunicates.
Juveniles found in shallow waters amongst filamentous algae over dead coral and rock.
Length - 45cm
Depth - 1-60m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific


Angelfish are usually brightly coloured with highly compressed bodies.
