Description

Also known as Blue-lined Sea Bream, Emperor Fish, Grey Large-eye Bream, Iodine Bream, Large-eye Bream, Maori Sea Bream, Rippled Barenose, Robinson's Sea Bream, Robinson's Perch, Sea Bream, Stout Emperor.

Found singly, or in small schools, over off-shore rocky bottoms, of trawling grounds, on the continental shelf.
They feed on small fish and invertebrates.
Juveniles found over inshore muddy substrates.
Length - 80cm
Depth - 20-170m
Widespread Indo-Pacific
