Description

Also known as Blue-striped Snapper, Pargos.

Found singly or in large schools, over coral and rocky areas of coastal reefs.
They feed nocturnally on cephalopods, crustaceans and small fish.
Length - 30cm
Depth - 3-30m
Widespread Eastern Pacific

Most Snappers live in moderate depths, however there are a few that live much deeper. Juveniles found on inshore reefs.
They are nocturnal predators that mainly feed on fish, but will eat crustaceans, gastropods and cephalopods.
