Also known as Borapet Rasbora, Brilliant Rasbora, Redtail Rasbora, Red-tailed Rasbora.

Found in schools, in mid to upper levels of slow flowing turbid waters of canals, ditches, drains, ponds, reservoir margins, streams and swamps.
They feed on crustaceans, insects, worms and zooplankton.
