Description

Found singly or in small schools, over silty, rubble and sandy areas of reefs.
They feed on small fish and benthic invertebrates.
Length - 11cm
Depth - 5-40m
Widespread Western Pacific
Sandperches live in the sand under solid pieces of reef, a single dominant male lives with a small harem of females. Not a very shy fish, is happy to sit and watch the world go by! (edit)
