Description

Also known as Granulated Guitarfish, Wedgefish.

Found singly, usually resting or partially buried on mud and sand bottoms, in shallow too much deeper waters.
They feed on benthic fish and invertebrates.
Length - 200cm
Depth - 9-100m
Widespread Eastern Atlantic, Mediterranean

Guitarfish catch their prey by using a suction method called "jumping jacks" when jumping out of the water.
