Also known as Black-bellied Rosefish, Bluemouth, Bluemouth Redfish, Bluemouth Rockfish, Bluemouth Seaperch.

Found singly, in moderate, too much deeper waters, over soft bottoms, of the continental shelf and upper slopes.
They feed on both benthic and pelagic cephalopods, crustaceans, fish, and echinoderms.
Length - 50cm
Depth - 50-1100m
Widespread Eastern Atlantic, Western Atlantic, Mediterranean
