Description

Also known as Insular Pipefish, Harlequin Pipefish, Seadragon, Short-nosed Pipefish.

Found in pairs, or small schools, in pockets of low growth coral and rubble, over white sand substrates, often close to sea fans, in coastal reefs.
They feed on tiny swimming invertebrates, which they suck whole into their mouths.
Length - 15cm
Depth - 1-20m
Widespread Western Atlantic, Caribbean

Pipefish are like seahorses in that the male gives birth!
