Found near the surface in coastal areas and can fly for long distances.
They feed on zooplankton.
Length - 32cm
Depth - 0-20m
Widespread Atlantic, Caribbean

Flying fish are all over the world and are able to fly for up to 50 meters at a time, which enables them to escape predators.
Their name has been given to the Constellation Volans, numerous ships and boats and also to the Exocet guided missiles.
