The great barrier reef is the largest living structure in the world!  Spanning more than 1200 miles (over 2000km) the islands and submerged reefs are home to millions of animalsl., the Great Barrier Reef spans more than 1,200 miles (2,000 km) of islands and submerged reefs.  Take a look at the following video first released by National Geograpic for some insight and amazing camera work!
