Description

Also known as Hunchback Turretfish, Camel-backed Turretfish, Indo-Pacific Trunkfish, Wild Trunkfish, Thornback Trunkfish, Helmet Cowfish, Camel Cowfish, Camel-backed Cowfish, Humpback Boxfish, Thornback Boxfish, Thornbacked Boxfish, Pyramid Boxfish and Hovercraft Boxfish.

Found singly on seagrass and weed bottoms of lagoons and coastal reefs.
They feed on invertebrates and worms.
Length - 30cm
Depth - 2-20m
Widespread Indo-Pacific

The bodies of Boxfish are covered in a toxic mucus which can be released when stressed.
