Also known as Hoese's Reef Goby, Nano Goby, Red Sea Goby, Red Sea Nano Goby, Reef Goby.

Found singly, or in small, loose schools, hovering a short distance above the substrate, in lagoons and seaward reefs.
They feed on filamentous algae and benthic crustaceans.
Length - 4.1cm
Depth - 3-26m
Western Indian Ocean - Red Sea to Inner Gulf of Aden

This goby does not seem to use a burrow maybe hiding in corals for protection.
