Description

Also known as Bass, Capemouth, Common Bass, European Bass, King-of-the-Mullets, Sea Bass, Sea Dace, Sea Perch, White Bar, White Mullet, White Salmon.

Found singly, in summer over shallow shorelines, going much deeper in winter, around coastal areas, in estuaries, lagoons and occasionally rivers.
They feed on crustaceans, small fish and molluscs.
Juvenile form schools and feed on invertebrates.

Depth - 10-100m
Widespread Eastern Atlantic, Black Sea, Mediterranean
