Description
Also known as Trevallies, Blue-fin Jack, Jack Fish, Blue Jack Fish, Blue-spotted Jack, Blue Trevally, Blue-finned Trevally, Spotted Trevally, Blue Spotted Trevally, Pacific Bluefin Trevally, Blue Ulua and Bluefin Kingfish.
Found singly or in schools patrolling reef slopes.
They feed on smaller fish.
Length - 70cm
Depth - 0-190m
Widespread Indo-Pacific
Jacks are fast swimming fish that can roam over great distances. The larger fish hunt other fish and the smaller fish eat zooplankton. In turn they are hunted by large Tuna and Dolphins.
