Description
Also know as Angelfish, Atlantic Spade, Butterflyfish, Jackass, Leather Coat, Moonfish, Ocean Cobbler, Pot Cover, Sea Donkey, Three-banded Sheephead, Three-tailed Porgy, Tripletail, White Angel, White Angelfish.
Found in very large schools, in shallow coastal waters, over sandy beaches, in harbours, mangroves, and around shipwrecks.
They feed on benthic invertebrates and plankton.
Juveniles found swimming at an angle to resemble debris or a leaf in estuaries.

Batfish have a flattened profile, juvenile batfish are extremely tall finned, but as they grow they become more rounded.
