Also known as Gudgeon, Hector's Grundel, Hector's Hovergoby, Hector's Reefgoby, Reef Goby, Yellowstripe Goby.

Found singly, around fine rubble, shaded by corals, or hovering close to sandy bottoms of reef bases, over sheltered bays and inner reefs.
They feed on filamentous algae and tiny crustaceans.
Length - 8.5cm
Depth - 3-25m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific
