Found singly or in pairs sharing their burrows with Alpheid shrimps over rubble and sandy bottoms of clear coastal inner reef flats and slopes.
They feed on small benthic invertebrates.

Shrimp Gobies live a symbiotic relationship with snapping shrimps.
