Description

Found in pairs or small schools over coral, rubble and sandy areas of shallow reef flats, lagoons and seaward reefs.
They feed on tiny swimming invertebrates which they suck whole into their mouths.
Length - 16cm
Depth - 3-60m
Widespread Western Central Pacific

Pipefish are like seahorses in that the male gives birth!
