Found singly, pairs or in harems darting around coral heads and rocks over lagoons and seaward reefs.
They feed on filamentous algae, corals and a wide range of invertebrates.
Length - 11cm
Depth - 0-55m
Widespread Indo-Pacific.

The bodies of Pufferfish are covered in a toxic mucus, if the skin or flesh is consumed it can be fatal to humans.
