Description

Also known as Bigeye Barracuda, Obtuse Barracuda, Reef Barracuda, Sea Pike, Short-jawed Barracuda, Short-jawed Sea Pike, Yellowstripe Barracuda.

Found in schools during the day, in bays, lagoons and sheltered seaward reefs, dispersing at night to hunt for food over more open areas of the ocean.
They feed on fish and large invertebrates.
Juveniles found in sheltered areas inshore.
Length - 50cm
Depth - 2-25m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific, Mediterranean

Barracudas are large and torpedo shaped with an awesome array of teeth.
