Found singly or in pairs, close to their burrows, on silty, rubble strewn bottoms, over coral and rocky drop-offs of coastal reefs.
They feed on burrowing invertebrates.
Length - 25cm
Depth - 1-45m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific

These Gobies feed by taking a mouthful of sand that is filtered through the gills for tiny creatures.
